Jon founded US OF SPORT by combining his many years working in corporate IT with his love for the outdoors and sports to innovate and differentiate.
Originally from the USA, Jon started in basketball and baseball from the time he could swing a bat. He played hoops at varsity levels and scored home runs at state levels before switching to tennis in his late teens and competing at state levels in Idaho.
Jon was coaching tennis in Sydney when an opportunity to work with the Thurgoona Tennis Club was the tree-change he was looking for. Through a chance collaboration with AATC (Australasian Academy of Tennis Coaches), Jon previously teamed up with AATC to grow coaching talent in regional NSW and VIC.
Reimagining and transforming sport through exciting inclusive multi-sport programs and collaborating on innovative coaching pathways is at the forefront of US OF SPORT. This bold and fearless approach to the business of sport has led Jon to hoop it up on wheels and complete his qualifications as a Basketball Australia Wheelchair Coach one of the most challenging and rewarding certifications he has attained to date.
What we do
Uniting the physical, emotional, cognitive and social (PECS) states for each person, each player, is how we develop and coach each individual into the best player or coach they can be.
The following table lists some of the most important skills under each state that US OF SPORT endeavours to develop, nurture and strengthen.
